With The Brendan Voyage suite, for example, any sponsor
would immediately be associated with Quality. Its musical
depiction of St. Brendan's 6th century voyage to America, is internationally
recognised as a musical masterpiece which combines Irish traditional
music in the form of the Irish uilleann pipes, performed by leading
piper Liam O'Flynn, with a classical orchestra.
Sponsorship would take the form of sponsoring, or
underwriting the costs (or part thereof) of a performance or tour.
The sponsor would benefit from the publicity associated with such
a major event. This publicity would manifest itself in several different
ways:
1) Media: A concert or tour of a Shaun Davey work
generates a substantial amount of publicity. The fact that each
work is based on a historic event creates an immediate story-line
with which press, radio and TV can integrate the Soloists, Composer
and Sponsor to present an interesting interview, TV or radio programme.
Well presented TV and radio advertising can achieve sell out concerts.

2) Receptions: These can be held by the sponsor
to;
- a) announce their involvement in performance or tour
- b) to entertain their invited guests, press and other media
before
and/or after the performance or tour.
- c) to take advantage of the appropriate photo opportunities
with soloists, etc.
3) Promotional Material: Your Company's logo could
be used on specially designed letterheads, publicity brochures,
concert programmes and posters, which would serve to visually
link your company to the event.
4) A Patron of the Arts; The Cultural
merit of Shaun Davey compositions is significant. These crossover
works depict Irish historical events in a descriptive and informative
way. This element of a concert gives an added dimension for the
audience and thus enhances the value of any sponsorship.
